Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (D) is running for re-election on a progressive platform to represent Michigan’s 13th Congressional District. She has a long history of advocating for Medicare-for-all, raising the minimum wage, protecting unions, and fighting for clean air and drinking water. 
In her first year in Congress, Rep. Tlaib successfully:

Opened 4 neighborhood service centers to address constituent needs. Rep. Tlaib is Michigan’s only legislator with a fully staffed service center of this kind to provide direct advocacy and services to residents, such as free tax preparation, assistance paying utility bills, getting unemployment benefits, and finding immigration services.
Secured $22 billion in funds for full lead pipe replacement to deliver clean drinking to residents in her district.
Helped residents cancel more than $260,000 in student debt.
Introduced legislation to prevent insurance companies from discriminating against low-income individuals, non-homeowners and others who otherwise have good driving records. 
Introduced legislation to prohibit water shutoffs and ensure water affordability for low-income households during the coronavirus pandemic.
